Content

Fragment of a petition in which a village administrator reports on a case of fraud committed by the muqaddams of another village. The continuation of the letter is missing. This side of the paper was reused with writing in between the first six lines by a different hand.

سپهسالار اجل کبیر موید مظفر منصور جمال  2
الدولة والدین ملک الامرا خرد [sic] الله ملک هو 3
 کمترین بندگان محمد غندمینی برای ملک 4
 اسلام (؟) عرضه می دارد کی مقدمان 5
 تگاب تاغ کی می بردند (؟) [+ 1] علی بن سفر مکر 6
دید کسان کی از اوشان مال معاملت  7
دو اسپ برد (؟) معیشت (؟) ایشان را باز داشته ام 8
Translation
Folio:
1 [May] the life of the beneficent [+ 1] lord, the 
2  illustrious, great, God-assisted, victorious and triumphant amīr, the sipahsālār, Jamāl
3  al-Dawla wal-Dīn, the king of amīrs, may God perpetuate his rule, [be long].
4  The lowliest of slaves, Muḥammad Ghandmīnī, petitions for the judgement of the king
5  of Islam (?) regarding the muqaddams of
6  Tagāb-i Tāgh who have taken [+ 1]. ʿAlī b. Safar has witnessed an act of fraud (?). 
7  Concerning some of those who took the value of two horses out of the transaction,
8  I have withheld their stipends.
