This document is a fragmentary loan contract, in which three market traders of Amber borrowed two hundred silver dirhams from another group of market traders in Amber for two months.

1 (It was) the year 476, the month New-year, at the beginning(?) (of the month), the day [Ormuzd, when this sealed document, this loan]-
2 contract [was written] here in Amber, in the presence of the god Ram-set, and in the presence of Akhsh[(?) . . .]. [Now: there has now been received by me, …]
3 -tis son of Berd, (from) Bokhara, and by me, Akhsh s[on of] Y[amsh-bandag(?), and by me,] Fin[z-lad(?), . . .],
4 market traders of Amber, and our b[rothers], children (and) d[escendants, from you, . . .],
5 market trader of [Amber], and from your brothers (and) children, [two]
6 hundred [good, locally current Persian silver] dirhams [of king Kawad] (as) a loan for a limited period, [on this] condition, that I have guaranteed [that it will be repaid . . .]
7 within two months . . . And if it should so happen that [we do not repay the capital and interest]
