Content

The parties involved in this administrative note seem to be Jamāl al-Dīn Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd, known from various Bamiyan Papers as the shiḥna and collector of grains (muḥaṣṣil-i ghalla), and ʿAlī b. Abū Bakr, the warehouse manager. It records a tax credit paid by Jamāl al-Dīn for the village of Sūya valued at fifty mann, which needs to be paid back.

Translation
Folio:
1 [This] is a qabāla of 50 mann. […+ 2] Jamāl al-Dīn Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd covered the funds [of tax owed] by the village of Sūya.
2 As soon as the tax is delivered, it must be returned [to Jamāl al-Dīn].
3 [Dated] Shaʿbān of the year 614.
4                              ʿAlī b. Abū Bakr
5-6 Out of this amount, 33 mann have been delivered.
