Translation
Folio:
it becomes [+ 1] and [+ 1] of Ibn al-Muʿizz is being read.
Now, three or four people, free and unfree, have become connected to
you (lit. “that friend”). If not, I would have travelled back and forth to Bukhārā, may God make it prosperous, long ago.
I came to the splendid seat of Firuzkuh three times with the intention of entering the sacred realm.
However, for some reason, I was prevented [from seeing you]. Now, this heart
of vain desires has found happiness in the fact that in a city
[+/- 5] from the serenity of the countryside.
[+/- 5] shall be obtained.
I expect that your generosity (lit., “the generosity of this lord”) is such that
any kind of arrangements that are made in that glorious city, which is known as paradise on earth,
shall be communicated to me [+ 3]
If my plea shall not be fulfilled, just like a meaningless name,
please inform accordingly as well. This is because, I (lit., “the pleading one”) [+ 2]
and the one who shuttles between this realm and [+ 3]
based on those promises that [+ 4]
there is strong hope that in [+4]
shall not go. Before we meet, if there is anything you need,
please let me know so I can take care of it as a sign of my loyalty. Farewell.
If this is acceptable [to you], please send my heartfelt greetings to the lord’s court,
the illustrious mawlānā, Muʿizz al-Milla wal-Dīn, the ṣadr of Khurasan and Iraq,
[+ 2] may he live long.
Please send my regards to all the officials at court (lit. “that service”).
Perhaps you could honour me with a reply [sent] through the courier.
-27 I send many greetings and blessings to the illustrious and honourable Najīb al-Dīn, Sayyid al-Qurrā, Qamqām.
