Content

An order sent from al-Dīwān al-Ikhtiyārī to the muqaddams of five villages demanding that they return the loan of grain received from the warehouse. The grain must be delivered to ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-Rashīd.

Translation

1                                                      al-Dīwān al-Ikhtiyārī
2 [Bismillāh?]
3 The muqaddams of these places shall take note that
4 [concerning] the grain which they took as a loan from the storehouse,
5 they shall become relieved of their obligation
6 and pay back [the loan of grain] to ʿAlī [b.] ʿAbd al-Rashīd:
7 Dāmam Nala Andar Tafanda
8 600 mann 500 mann 1,000 mann 700 mann
9   Khāy
10   400 mann
11 They shall take note of all of this.
12 They shall put their trust [in the signet]. They shall not delay. [It has been written] in the year 617.
