Content

An acknowledgment of a sale of  ⅙ of a bathhouse by Najīb al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Shams al-Dīn Maḥmūd b. Jamāl to Zakī Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd Ghaznawī. This follows a loan between the parties recorded in an earlier acknowledgment. See Firuzkuh 8.

یک تیر از شش تیر از یک دربند گرمابه که ویرا بود در قصبه 4
طاق مرغاب بموضع پایان دیه حد اول زیرناژ حد ثانی 5
خانه امیر حسن جمال ثالث راه و کوچه و زمین پنج [+/- 2] 6
والثالث تگ آب کرگی و راه با جملگی حقوق و مرافق داخل و خارج 7
گلخن و جامه خانه و دیگ رویی آن بوزن ده من به شانزده دینار 8
فیروزکوهی کهنه کی نیمه بود هشت دینار فروختن درست  9
جایز شرعی ازاله ملک بملک و تحویل دست بدست 10
و قبض کردن تمامت بها فی مجلس البیع خرید [و تسلیم شد ؟] 11

Translation
Folio:
1 Praise be to God.
2 The amīr ʿAlī b. Shams al-Dīn Maḥmūd [b.] Jamāl has acknowledged, in a state of legal capability for acknowledgement, that
3 he has sold to Khwāja Zakī Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd Ghaznawī 
4 one share out of six shares of one public bath-house owned by him in the village of 
5 Ṭāq-i Murghāb, at the bottom of the village. The first boundary is [the land called] Zīr-i Nāzh; the second boundary is
6 the house of the amīr Ḥasan [b.] Jamāl; the third [boundary] is the path, lane, and the land [called] Panj [+ 1];
7 the fourth [boundary] is the Kurgī valley. [It was sold] with all its rights and contents, interiors and exteriors,
8 the hypocaust, the changing room, and its brazen cauldron with a carrying capacity of ten mann, at [the price of] sixteen old
9 Fīrūzkūhī dīnārs, half of which is eight dīnārs. The sale was performed in the correct
10 and admissible manner and in accordance with the sharīʿa, [constituting] the transfer of ownership from one to the other, and directly from one hand to the other,
11 and the receipt of the full amount at the time of sale. He purchased [it], received [it], 
12 and took possession [of it]. And this [+ 1, document was written]
13 at the end of Dhū al-Ḥijja in the year 591.
14 Muḥammad b. ʿUmar b. al-Ḥasan, the muezzin witnessed the validity of his acknowledgment. [He wrote it] in his hand. Al-Ḥusayn b. al-Ḥasan b. ʿUthmān al-Balkhī acknowledged this and wrote this in his hand.
15 Ḥasan b. ʿAlī the shoemaker is a witness. [It was written] at his order. Nāṣir b. Aḥmad witnessed this. [He wrote this] in his hand.
16 Amīrān (?) b. [+ 1] acknowledged what is herein. [He wrote it] in his hand. Muḥammad [b.] [+ 1] also acknowledged in this manner. [He wrote it] in his hand.
