Folio:
In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate.
This is a document from Maskan to Mīr b. Bēk al-Bāmiyānī. I have contended with you (in law)
concerning the fact that I made a sale to you and the sēr had also made a sale to you. Subsequently he demanded that I return to you (the price)
to his debit. I have returned (the price) to you to the debit of the sēr and I have no suit or claim upon you
with regard to little or much except a suit of charity, and whatever liability overtakes you with
regard to Ibrāhīm or anybody else ⎯ it is incumbent upon me to clear it with what is weighty
and what is light (= whatever the amount involved). It has been witnessed by Muḥammad b. Abū Shamkh, Naṣr b. al-Qāsim,
Naṣr b. Sālim, Yūsuf b. al-Muhājir, Muḥammad the client
of Sṭayfī, Ḥanān b. Ḥabīb, Abū Ḥafṣ the financial administrator of Madr,
Abū Ḥammād, al-Hwrbk (??), Khālid b. Slkyan (??)
and Memoqiyān (??). It has been written with ten days remaining of al-Muḥarram
of the year one hundred and forty-five.
Maskan and the witnesses set their seal. Ibrāhīm b. Salīm.
