هذه براة من سليمن بن سعيد 2
عامل الامير القعقاع بن سليم 3
اعز الله نصره على مدر ورزم 4
لمير بن بك انى قبضت منك 5
مما صار عليك من خراج سنة 6
سبع واربعين ومــــــــــــــــية 7
عشرة دراهم قبضـــــــــــــت 8
ذلك منك وبرئت الى منها و 9
كتب فى ذو الحجة سنة ثمان 10
واربعين ومــــــــــــــــــية 11
Translation
Folio:
1 In the name of God the Merciful and Compassionate.
2 This is a quittance from Sulaymān b. Saʿīd,
3 the financial administrator of the governor al-Qaʿqāʿ b. Salīm,
4 may God strengthen his victory, (whose jurisdiction is) over Madr and Rizm,
5 to Mīr b. Bēk. I have received from you
6 what you owe with regard to the kharāj for the year
7 one hundred and forty-seven
8 ten dirhams. I have received
9 that from you and you have been released from (the obligation to pay) it to me.
10 It has been written in Dhū al-Ḥijja of the year
11 one hundred and forty-eight.
