هذه براة من سليمن بن سعيد عامل 2
الامير القعقاع بن سليم اعز الله نصره 3
على مدر ورزم لمير بن بك 4
انى قبضت منك مما صار عليك 5
من قسمة نفقة دواب السخرة 6
سبعة دراهم دراهم وثلثة دونيق 7
ومن قسمة نفقة طعام المهدى اكر 8
مه الله درهم واربعة دونيق 9
تسعة دراهم ودانق قبضت 10
ذلك منك وبرئت 11
الى منها وكتب فى شعبان سنة 12
ثمان واربعين ومية 13
Translation
Folio:
1 In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate.
2 This is a quittance from Sulaymān b. Saʿīd, the financial administrator
3 of the governor al-Qaʿqāʿ b. Salīm, may God strengthen his victory,
4 (whose jurisdiction is) over Madr and Rizm, to Mīr b. Bēk.
5 I have received from you what you owe
6 with regard to the portion for the expense of pack-animals used for corvée duty
7 seven dirhams and three dānaqs
8 and (what you owe) with regard to the portion for the expense of the sustenance of al-Mahdī, may God grant him honour,
9 one dirham and four dānaqs,
10 nine dirhams and one dānaq (in total). I have received
11 that from you and you have become released
12 from (the obligation to pay) it to me. It has been written in Shaʿbān, in the year
13 one hundred and forty-eight.
